I am debating going with a different converter. what are the drawbacks of a converter that is too loose? I am leaning towards a 58 or a 55. have haerd a few guys say they don't care for the 58. any reason why?

Cant give an answer why guys dont like them.
but..
I have the 58 and I love it.

I raced with it lots of times and felt pretty solid. Didnt seem very loose to me?

On the street it locks firm (just right), not a hard violent lock.

It really depends on wht your plans for the truck will be or wht you are running now 1054 would probaly be a better all around converter. for a big single the 55 will be more wht you want.

x2 the 1055 is an awsome converter, i think the stall scares some people away but i have found nothing that does not do well towing included and the charger light so much better now its effertless. i did not like my 1054 but at high elevation and aftermarket turbo it was to tight . for racing i would say 1055 if you stayed stock charger then i think the 1058 would be the ticket .
