One messed up Duramax!

Umm batteries charged? Does the starter click at all? Check fuses? So you have ignition but wont turn over?

ok guys got this thing cranking of the key switch and it sounds good cranking. shot a lil ether to it and it still won't start. worked the fuel pump on top of the filter a whole bunch of times got everything on guauges and dash back to normal but it still won't start. smokes whitish grayish looking smoke while its cranking. it honestly sounds just like it did before the runaway. any ideas? please leave me some ideas guys i'll get back at it tomar 4:30 comes early n thanks again

I think most will tell you there is more damage to be done by using ether than good. Be careful with it.

Just a thought but it is possible that you could have some bent push rods from valve to piston contact when it was oversped and that would cause a no start issue. and it probly would sound the same cranking.

Did you have your injectors tested? the white smoke comin out of the pipe is unburnt fuel and probably a bunch of oil burning that's still in the system, so keep that ether can far far away, don't use that stuff on modern engines with grid heaters

Ok guys imma start with the injectors but if they are flooding the system would the fuel show up in the oil?

Compression test it...

Don't waste anytime on injectors before you compression test it. You could have some bent valves or push tubes...

Yep pill glow plugs and do a compression test before anything else. IIRC shuld be high 300's-400 if healthy
