Hello all. I'd like to introduce myself here. I've been reading troubleshooting on this forum since I bought my LB7 last year. I've spent my whole life around trucks and heavy equipment, it's all I know. Now let's get down to it-
My beloved truck was sent to a shop when I discovered I had a bad head gasket because I didnt have the time to perform the work myself. The shop I took the truck to wound up doing more damage than anything else. It then went to a more reputable place, where it received new injectors/cp3 pump ( used merchant auto injectors ) etc. My truck also has some new push rods along with a new drivers side head ( like I said more damage ). This all being said and done, I've got my baby back. It was running beautifully until the oil got warmed up and I began to watch my pressure drop. I've hooked a mechanical gauge to it and found it was true. 2psi at isle around 30 at 1800. I've now got a new rattling sound, that seems to go away the more I run this thing. Im thinking maybe I'm in need of a bearing job after the case filled up more than once with diesel/anti freeze. Also, could the oil filer adapter possibly be plugged up after being abused ? Pulled the oil filter off and cut it apart, found no metal Etc. I'm really mind boggeled here as to which direction I want to go with pulling this thing apart again. Any and all help is appreciated guys. If you're local I'll even get you a beer !
