This is one of the best reads Ive had in a while.

Read the thread.... HOLY CRAP!

http://forums.13x.com/showthread.php?t=171960

Cliffnotes:

Long time member sells his 636 race bike, contacted by a nigerian scammer who says hes gonna send a bank check blah blah, pick up the bike, classic Nigerian scam.

Everyone on boards says dont do it its a scam, member takes the bait hook line and sinker. Bike gets picked up, deposits a large check, bounces a week later, guy ends up withdrawing like 21k from his acct wiping him out and is out bike, cash etc. OP is a lawyer who thinks he found the guy only 90 minutes from his house and is in the process of trying to prosecute him or something....

hilarity ensues.

Oh ya - the scammer posts in the thread saying how he got screwed!

WOW!!!

Can a lawyer really be that stupid??? I'm sorry but I don't feel sorry for the guy. EVERYONE said not to do it, it's a scam and all he could do was cuss at them and tell them they were just jealous????
I doubt he will figure out exactly who the guy is but there is always the chance.
I also hope he finds the guy that did it, but still wont feel sorry for him.

Ya Im not sure. The original poster was almost 60 so... could be true.

I posted it on a few boards and many people are calling BS, just to attract attention to that message forum, etc.... but I kinda think its real. Who knows - good for a laugh though!

Total BS. You knew it when he allowed the scammer back into his account and was very lacadasical about checking with his bank for days on end.

:yup::exactly:The guy is a lawyer, he sends back 12 grand then lets the guy have access to his account so he can lose another 21,000. I call BS. But still a great story.

If you have not listed anything on line for sale you need to try it sometime, you will be blown away by the shear number of scammers out there.:violent:

When I sold my mustang I was contacted buy "potential buyers" from all over the place a bunch from australia. THey all would try and sweeten the deal by saying they will give me an extra grand if I would end my auction early, and that they would send me a money order blah blah...Anyways when I supplied my number to them and asked for theirs and said cash or paypal only I didnt hear another peep outta of them. Got to love the good people in this world:hug:...

Its sickening!!
