Old Predator tuner reset

Been a while since I was around here...and I searched first. Promise.

If you jump in the way back machine....there was a thread about unlocking the OG Predator (green housing) tuners. IIRC, you needed a special cable and then there was a step by step one how to do it.

Anyone still around know the details.

What do you mean by unlocking? It's been used on a different vehicle?

Are you trying to unlock to flash on multiple vehicles? Yes you need a serial to usb and then the program to flash it. No idea if you can get that program still but I’ll bet it’s floating around somewhere

Are you referring to the Diablo predator? I bought a used one back in my early days that I reset. I might have the instructions saved somewhere on my old computer. If I remember correctly, you need a usb to serial cable. And a terminal editor or something to send the correct bits down the cable. The instructions I had (have?) Says what to do. I'll see if I can dig them up. Maybe upload them here for safe keeping

Man this brings back memories of my lb7's, pre efi live. Loaded that hot tune and took the truck for a spin, instantly addicted to diesels and haven't been without one since.

The Edge juice with attitude tuner was nice but the hot ticket at the time was the PPE hot+2 et that did it for me.

Do yall know if the older Predator green body tuners would do gas and diesels or were they vehicle specific? I have one I ran on my '00 Z71 gas and when I went to put it back stock when trading in, the cable had a broken wire and it is still married to the old truck.
