Yeah it would! I have an aluminum cab that I'll be chopping, sectioning, and building a tube chassis for, that will receive a Duramax/Allison, hopefully this winter.

I have a 1990 chevy 1500 2wd sb offered to me very cheap with a 5.7 and 4L80e in it.Lowered and new bucket seats.Be nice to take the motor out and swap my motor and all into it and maybe back half it. That or install one in my 79 Z-28. Then sell or trade the truck in on something else.
