I agree its a stock truck I cant even see any traction bars and with the sleeves and braces there is no way he could toe in that much and brake just trying to get started

its not sled pulling but i can prove that the tires can still toe with cognitos , braces, HD tie rods , and a billit centerlink .

All it takes is the front end coming up to full droop .

Straping the ends of the centerlink will help that alot. That is why I dont run a straight centerlink. Still need to strap on good tracks, and the lost turning radius. I have 167" wheel base I dont need to loose any turning radius. I have been running the same stock centerlink that came in the truck new. Strap it and I have never had that issue.;)

Tims truck(the old Freighttrain) does it to.
He has all the "good stuff"

I agree with JB they will still do it with the good parts. However I must also point out I know what the train had in it when it left here & it NEVER did that. The front end was always waaaay lower when we had it. I think the morale of the story is the lower you can get it the better it is & green keys suck for pulling :D

What about something like this to limit down travel? Might work better than a strap since it's progressive.

Here's a pic of Trent's new limiters. I like the idea and i hope it works. (Sorry Trent if you wanted to see if they worked first.)

I think they work really well, but the setup could possibly be better. We were just shootin the breeze when suspension limiters came up, and we both thought it would be a good idea to try this. He actually did it though.:coolspot:

A properly strapped front end will last a long time. I have seen several 500hp trucks hook for multiple pulls with nothing but ratchet straps on the centerlink (no tie rod sleeves either but I recommend them still). No issues.

HogDog had green keys and a straight centerlink and it still would toe in bad. Now he has it slammed but not sure if it is strapped and it works much better.

The reason for the toe in is bump steer PERIOD! The pivot point of the suspension and the steering are not in the same place. I don't care if your entire steering assembly was made out of unobtainium, without changing the steering geometry, you will toe in every time when the suspension drops out.

With proper suspension, weight, and hitch setup, bone stock steering components will support over 850hp sled pulling all day long, this includes stock tie-rods.
