CV shaft snapped, Watch the video he obviously needs help keeping the front tires from toeing in. The truck does look very high in front you may be correct about the green keys and cranked bars.

I think he has put something together wrong on the front end. The braces should have fix that problem. I would look at that first. Something under there is put together way wrong.

cranked green keys will make it tow a little but with a solid centerlink, hd tierods and cognito braces it should not be able to move that much........
somethings not adding up......
what really gets me is that after the cv breaks the wheels apear to go perfectly straight again which means nothing stayed bent.

I'm with huntingducks.

Something ain't right. Duh. But seriously, his front end doesn't look that high to me and the tires are toeing OUT at the top without a load. Something is WAY wrong in that susp.

No offense to him but if he's been doing the wrenching, he needs to take it to a shop to straighten it out. It's not that hard to put sleeves and such on.

That's bad.

I posted a comment on under his vid.

Straight centerlinks on tight tracks still need straped IMHO. They still tow in. His major issue is to much front end height.

How heavy was that sled?

A lot of things don't add up in this video to me.

1. Front end seems high but not ridiculous
2. I've seen cognito braces bend and even break before and with the bad geometry of that setup, could mangle the cognito's pretty bad.
3. Center links have been known to also twist which wouldn't help the cognito's either.
4. Fabtech tie rods are pretty beefy so that shouldn't be an issue, unless they were upside-down.
5. Are those stock tires?
6. I've seen trucks pull with green keys and they didn't do that.

After writing down this list, I'm calling BS. That looks like a stock truck with stock tires and zero prep. The engine even sounds fairly stock, maybe tuning only.

No way does someone go to all the trouble of buying and installing all of those front end parts to pull and then not prep for the pull. Especially, if said person has put money into the engine. And if this was a result of not prepping the truck after spending all that money, then he should have any and all Duramax privileges removed until he knows better.

Thats kinda what I was thinking. If you watch his other vids the truck practically dies after 80mph I dont think he has the power he claims either. My LB7 would pull hard past 120mph.

I call big time BS on the straight CL! There's NO ROTATION with it. It's physically impossible without ripping the ball joints out. If the ends bend up (and the little power I saw in the vid wouldn't do it unless it was WAY cheap), the tires wouldn't return to the forward position. Classic case of an unpreped front end.

Yes obviously you can't swing a jump rope around if there's no slack in it. If the ball joints were complete shit (I've seen them fall out) then that could cause it. Otherwise that guy is not being truthful.

I have to agree the video doesent lie, foolish stuff like that is what gives IFS a bad name and in turn Chevy's GMC's and Duramax's a bad name.
