Gentlemen
You have another tech coming. He will start May 16th here on site to get to know the operation a little bit. Monday the 19th he has MSHA for 3 days and then we will start his onboarding with him on the 22nd of May.

I just wanted to let you know we have help coming.

Must be for real bud. My boss just sent me this:D

Haha. Glad to hear that. I know I heard the email notification go off on my phone and then a second later my phone was ringing and I saw the caller and wondered. So I answered and was told everything went through and May 16th was the start date. Thanks again!!

Right on! Get some miles on ya at CAT and then go work the slope on a rotation and make real money while living somewhere warm with fewer bugs and less rain!! And better looking women!

Just saying.
If I had to work in AK, I would want a rotation so I could live elsewhere.
AK is nice for about 3 select months a year. Other than that too cold and too many bugs for this guy to want to live full-time lol.
I worked with alot of guys up there that lived in Cali, Washington, Nevada and Arizona. Made sense to me.

Seriously..that's my sentiment as well. Enough being gone with deployments and training cycles and what not in the military for me to want to be away from family any longer. Regardless though this job is a big pay raise for me :) Plus I'm born and raised in AK so I miss it.

I may end up bumping my price range up a bit without the car to worry about...looking for a little more loaded truck regardless of brand...still in the air

Meh. 2 weeks goes by really quick. And the time off makes up for it. And it's a set rotation so you can actually plan stuff for days off. No worrying about on call or overtime.
Good luck though. Should be a nice change of pace for you.
