thanks for the pics Josh!!Hey bud, after you asked me about a gauge the other day I finally got off my ass and got one ordered. LOL
If you look on the oil filter/cooler housing there are a couple of ports you can tap into that give you both pre- and post-cooler temps. I'll find you links to some pics.
post-cooler (location is on the bottom when installed in the truck)
pre-cooler; first pic in this post, the port with the blue arrow pointing towards the filter mount (location is on top when installed in the truck)
tapped into the oil pan...works like a champ!!
Dont know about his but mine run about 180-190 during everyday driving. Highest Ive seen is 209.

Looks god I like the gauge at the lower left of the wheel, the wheel that says GMC in the middle and Chrevrolet on the outside. Sorry about that
