My lower oil pan on my lly has a leak. I did some research and a lot of people are saying there is no gasket but just Rtv. Napa shows a feel pro gasket though, should I get that and use no Rtv or just silicon Rtv? And if so which kind. I have ultra black will that work? Here's the link and part number to that gasket. Part Number: OS30748 http://m.napaonline.com/parts/PartsDetail.aspx?k=FPGOS30748_0314961458

The factory does not use any gasket, but for some reason, the aftermarket has decided to make a gasket for it. I never use them. Just a good bead of RTV is all I do.

Ok thanks. Maybe I swing by napa and check it out. Of it's a rubber deal I'll probably try it. Anyone know the torque specs on the lower pan bolts?

Chris the guy @ ATS that built my motor used the AC Delco silicone that comes in the caulking gun tube. He said that stuff has never let him down.

That is by far the meanest, nastiest, BEST silicone sealer I have ever used. :)
