oil leak towards back of the motor lly

Is it common for the rear main seal to go out? I have a slow small leak towards the back of the motor, main seal or maybe oil pan? Any suggestions of what it might be? Pullin my trans soon but would like to order the parts before i pull it

Not very common for the rear main to leak. Could be a turbo oil drain issue also.

Bust a flashlight out...and get looking. We can't tell you what is leaking, because we don't know.

Turbo drain comes out of the bottom of the turbo and drains into the top of the block under the up pipe flanges.

No that's where the oil drain tube is.

All of the oil that enters the top of the turbo drains out of the bottom into a hard drain line, which drains into the top of the block.

It shouldn't be leaking externally, but oil coming from that area is commonly from that.

At work tell wednesday, i want to say the leak wasnt horrible, it would just leak a little down on the bottom of the tranny when i looked last, like in front of the pan
