I'll be honest. Yes.

But it's neither out of my way OR costs more. I order my Wix filters on RockAuto and usually buy enough for all my equipment / vehicles for over 2 years. The most expensive one I have to buy is under $8 still

Baldwin or WIX xp for lube, Donaldson or Baldwin for fuel. (VSE dual filter setup)
Mobile Delvac 1300 15w/40 or 5w/40 in winter.

Amsoil is all I use. I run Amsoil Signature Series Max-Duty Synthetic oil as well.

I'm not picky. I'll run bosch, mobile 1, fram TG or UG, wix or whatever flavor is available that is not bottom of the barrel. Basically anything decent. Never heard of the oil filter quality making or breaking the life or health of the engine
