is it possible to take off the oil cooler assembly and the hard tube from the water pump off and run some sort of remote mount filter and cooler?

Deleting the stock oil cooler concerns me. Maybe we also need some tests for getting the oil temp up to operating temp with and without the stock cooler (time frame and at what outside temp). I would tend to think it would help increase the temp of the oil when it's cold more quickly than without it. I am however all for external coolers on these anytime the power is increased and/or a larger or mutiple turbos are added knowing what I've seen on my oil temp gauge. After all 90% of the oils job IS cooling. Also, when the oil does break down, is starts a accelerated wear cycle in the motor.
thank you for the help i will definatly look at those and this is not on my dd it will be on a race truck only i just need to delete it for clearance issues
