Man, i can't say enough about my scott's cleanable, surgical stainless steel mesh filter, filters down to 10 micron absolute, lifetime warranty, billet aluminum, nice piece of work:thumb:

As someone that works at "A" dealer, Not a Chevy but Nissan (only job I could get at the time but working on getting to work for GM.), our oil sticker machine is set for 3750 miles. I could change it, but Nissan rec. is 3750. And my Serv. Man. would chew me a new one if I did change it. Even if it's for one of the MANY Duramax's we get in the shop. Some shops have their machines set and can't change it. Him and I have went round and round on it a few times. He is the boss so I lost.

So what type of oil filter is everyone using?
Factory ACDelco filters. I figure if GM will warranty the engine with that filter, its probably more than decent.

And with 300k on the clock now (with 10k mile oil change intervals), I'd say it's doing fine :thumb:

Wow you do 10,000 mile intervals? I tried that once and got very rediculed about that on this site haha. I use and always have ran delco filters. But this last time I had no choice but to use a fram, it will be getting changed very soon.

I usually run about 10k between changes as well. Have done a couple oil analyses with awesome results so why go less?

If anyone cares, I've got some test data showing Baldwin filters outperforming the acDelco filters. Not that I'm biased or anything working for baldwin

Duramax will run 10k on just about anything legal to be labeled oil. Theres a few thag have done extensive testing on this.

I am in the process of changing oil suplliers now. Well be running all Chevron across the board now.
