I'm not familiar with the differences i know one is one way of center other is opposite way I'm wanting to go to different rims and tires and trying to find the best options to match what I have now.. The rims I have 6.5" backspacing are 9" wide and I'm wanting to go to 18-20" rims what offset would I be looking for in this?

Backspace and offset are directly related. Backspace is the distance from the hub mounting flange to the inside edge of the wheel, offset is the distance of the hub mounting flange from the true center of the wheel.

It doesn't matter what diameter of wheel you're going to go with, if you want them to fit the way your current ones do you're going to want the same specs.

The closest I can figure is with 6.5" backspace and 9" wide rims, you're at roughly a +37 offset.

Hope this helps :)
