Hell you don't have to add power. I've seen powerstrokes, cummins and duramax's all have failures at low power levels.

I drove the ever living sh*t out of my LMM and it only had a cp3 fail on the motor, couldn't ask for more reliability with what it went through. I'm confident a lot of it had to do with Josh's tuning and his attention to detail with drivability. So smooth! :thumb: lots of luck too!!!

I don't know if it's just because I pay more attention to lbz/lmm motors but it seems they can live to about 750 at the wheels (on borrowed time) and live for a bit, but lb7/lly motor don't like much over 550-600hp at the wheels before bending a rod? I would rather crack a piston then break a rod IMHO

That sounds about right. I feel the same way, typically a cracked piston won't do as much damage as a thrown rod through the block.

Lly rods handle more than 550 horse... come on now. no duramax stock engine will last at 750 wheel horse. Lml's wont, lmm/lbz wont....

I am not saying a lmm/lbz will last for long at 750 but it has been done a stock lmm duramax tuner had a lmm truck (stock motor) that pulled for a season at 746 I think

Yes I agree with you 100% Dyno's don't tell the whole story. Not sure what it ran in the 1/4. I just think it's cool that it is possible to hit 814hp on a stock motor. For all I know that truck could have blown up after that run. lol

Personally I would rather shrink a couple rods (not break) than crack a piston. At least the truck might still be driveable. Most guys who bend rods don't even know it until they do a full build. You crack a piston and the truck is down.

Hell I probably have a couple seasoned rods myself.

Well while we are showing dyno stuff..here's my lly stock motor dyno..but we all know it's not a "true" 740 hp truck. As well as that lmm. Mine gets beat everyday and it still runs and drive like a champ.
