I think i speak for a lot of people in saying those guys are in theri own world 15,000 members or something and i see maybe 10 of them on other boards. Okay a lot more now because they followed me and others over.
I started posting on there too in the topics i knew something about to try and help out or correct misinformation. I wasnt always right, never am, nobody is but usually admit to it.
That tech specialist badge thing is a joke. Yes I know i am one, but that was not my decision they pm'd me saying they wanted to make me one i said sure, fine.
I remembered seeing a thread on there were people were asking to be specialists.
Its an interesting site full of unedumacated posts.
As for toypuller, i dont see eye to eye with him either. Im starting to think he just sweeps to floors where he works.
He can do headgaskets in 2 weeks out the door
and tells everybody there is no way to do them quicker.
I did see MMLMM come over there and finally a familiar knowledgableish face
.
Im sure he agrees with me that it is an interesting site.
as for the original ATS v SC thread, we got bored, MMLMM was part of it for a little while i believe. Guess i had nothing better to do that night.
Im surprised ive never gotten banned from anywhere except the toyota tundra forum for correcting expert posts on the dmax. Nobody thought one could run quicker than 15 seconds int eh 1/4 mile modified or not. Hmmm. Ive broken a lot of rules and been on a lot thinner ice than a lot of people and never got banned, did get my sig redone, but nothing else.
Guess im lucky.
Im with Mike though, people get so into these forums that they forget how people are different in person. Two examples i can think of are Mike L. and Trippin. On threads they can get defensive and come off wrong. Over the phone Guy is the nicest most helpful guy ive met, Mike is too, sometimes you scare me and im scared to say maybe i did something wrong, but its cool
