Pat- yeah, when there was some tech info, but then your head got big and everything became a pissing match after that; bs crap on every forum and when you get banned or given a time out you start this forum up. as far as mikeL goes- he is a smart person, and helps alot of people out, great guy; his head also swelled up like yours and found a good place here at duramax diesels to hide behind you where he can insult people and call them names without getting banned here. you two have chased all the "smart" people out of here that have brought good tech info here and good reading because of personal bs agendas against them. now we have this kind of crap to read:eek:

If you want I can set it up so that you can't see the smoke signal area. Easy enough to do and then you won't have to read threads like this one. Tell you what don't worry about it. I'll get it done when I get home from my friends' house tonight.

Um ya that's all old news, nothing new about that, ATS trying to reinvent the wheel themselves to make a buck.

Then there was the whole were going to turn in all the DPF delete makers to the EPA since ATS was/is/has coming/came out with a "peformance" DPF.

ATS makes me puke.

Let me guess, none of this is relative to the ATS company today because all of this stuff happened yesterday. :joker:

I see by your sig you have had alot of experience with ATS parts on your truck and lots of other performance companies parts too.

I am sure with the knowledge that you guys have bad mouthed and talked shit over will help your site grow very quickly.

I saw you thismorning.

And you have?

PPE trans, ATS trans, BD turbo, ATS turbo, diablo predator, Edge juice, PPE, EFI, PPE sleeves, Cognito tie rods.....................yes i have tried lots of parts.

I have rode in Hondariders truck and MMLMM truck to see how the trans feels. Feels nice and stock. I like a hard lock-up.

Oh yea, remember Berto, Gilbert and Robert from My area? You built there trans.......guess where there trucks are at now?:D

There trans are good, just gettin some ATS parts. I introduced them to the infamous MikeL trans. Your welcome for the biz.

Here's an idea. If you don't like how other people post, then lead by example. But from what I see, you post mostly hate, not tech. I think your only claim to fame is calling everyone on the internet "stupid" who doesn't kiss your ass.

If we chased all the smart people away, does that mean we are stuck with you?

As far as swelled head? 7 3/4 helmet biitch. :D

I'd be glad to race you next time you are at a national event.

i have never called anyone stupid, and never asked anyone to kiss my ass, so what are you referring to? sounds like a good look in the mirror is in order for you:D tasteing your own medicine sucks. when i started on this forum there was alot of good info and good debates; but personal agendas, and ignorance forced those enthusiasts out of here.

"THIS GOES ON AND ON AND ON......." Think that was in a song from awhile ago. Now damn it it's Easter Sunday, I hid my easter eggs last nite and can't find a one of them. Maybe we all should eat a little of our chocolate bunny or whatever you like to nibble on and get on with it. I see no tech stuff here, but what the hell do I know?

The wife is still doing some work around the house......:rofl:

On to my soapbox:

Ya know, I came here for the racing tech. I am not part of "Team Salad" in any way other than that I'd never run any parts/tunes from that "other" company, due to the attitude of its owner. What I found is most of the people that were serious into drag racing moved here, so I followed. The fabricators followed Rick, the Political guys followed Nick.
Racing tech at the Place died a year ago, the Garage's GM section has never had any tech of any kind. We all became stagnant a couple years ago, as no new parts or ideas were coming from anywhere, due to racing secrecy or product protection. So far, Ive been impressed with the level of support and help here when it comes to putting out new ideas and theories. Id rather not jeopardize what we have going here with the petty arguments.

I've found that it doesnt matter who builds a trans, because even if something goes wrong thats completely out of their control, their name is on it and they get blamed just the same. The customer could have run it without fluid, or broke a billet input shaft wheel hopping at the track, and its the builder's fault. What distinguishes the great builders from the not-so-great is how they react when one of their trans's has an issue. How do they help out their customer? Do they help even when they dont have to?

As for ego, IMO racers in general have to have an ego in order to be good. Thats the nature of the beast. Id bet its the same wherever you'd go in racing. Youve got to have an attitude and focus to win, and many people take that as being a jerk.

Johnboy has said it numerous times...we must stop fighting amongst ourselves and concentrate on the Dodges and Fords of the world. They are the real "enemies"....not our fellow Dmaxer's. So lets get back to what we do best....solving the problems we're having and making the diesel sport in general much better.

Yeah, You probably didnt want to read my babbling tonight, but what the hell. Choose to ignore a person's posts if you dont get along, or suck it up and tolerate the other person. Rant off.

You keep claiming this, yet ive been on here since the beginning of time for this sight, just check my join date. Yet i dont recall any huge tech contributors leaving this sight, so why dont you take your bullshit somewhere else, cause nobodys buying it.;)

Furthermore, when I have a truck, I will have nothing ATS on it if I can help it. I could own a duramax, I am waiting on the newest and best that is coming out in 2010 or 2011. Why buy something old? But you probably have no idea what's coming. Considering I knew about the 4.5 liter prototype since 2003. It was in the Trailblazer. :baby:

I have seen more than enough ATS failure. Look up farmboystoy on dieselplace if any of the old ATS threads are even around about the 5 mile trannies. Since then ATS has done nothing but shoot themselves in the foot.

Burkhardt is the only one that I really have respect for that runs ATS. But I think he could do so much better with other parts.

Also of the trucks I have tuned, I have seen Mike's, Merchant's, BD's, and ATS trannies. I have competed against and beat Edge, Superchips, Hypertechs, Quads, PPE's, and the rest of the bastard stacks, as well McRat tuning, Bobo tuning, Tony tuning, Crank it tuning, and Danville Tuning. I have beat some of the best on a given day including Jeff Toman and Eric Merchant. But I have also been beat many times. I have seen what works well and what works not so well. I am stupid on the Vane Turbo tuning and I suck at lighting big turbos. Hoping to take a class on it soon. LB7 is what I know.

Reguadless, I know when the time comes where I am getting a tranny from. It won't be the most convient or closest.

But there is my history about the duramax in a nut shell, and I don't hide the fact that I have never owned a truck, and right now drive Grand Am that I helped rebuild the motor in. It will still be my DD after I get a Duramax.

I am young and have a long way to go, but hopefully I can avoid all of the problems I have seen with ATS products.

Mike L. will be the man that gets my bussiness, and I recommend him to everyone who asks.

The tech threads never left and never will.

Only thing that has changed is the amount of new members. I wonder why that is........
