I just bought my first diesel (and will obviously never be going back to a gasser :beer2: ) and I LOVE it!
Drogo is a 2009 Sierra 2500HD, it came with (I believe) Magnum bumpers front and back, however they snipped the parking sensors rather than installing them. I don't mind that not having the parking sensors, but my trailer brake controller doesn't work and I've had the top diesel mechanic in the area put about 14 man hours into tracking, tracing, replacing, etc and all to no avail. we replaced the relay as well as the module, but sill nothing. We are thinking that the sensors being snipped off is messing with the communication in the system. I'm torn between buying new sensors/harnesses and hooking them up... but don't want to waste the money if it isn't actually the problem. Or is there a way to stop the 'service park assist' 'service trailer brakes' messages that come on when I start my truck and just install a P3 controller?

Shouldn't a tech 2 be able to read the codes if the service message is coming up?

The codes keep saying it's the relay or the module... Both of which he replaced. He finally waved the white flag (for now) because he is stumped. Figured I'd see if any of you had come across anything like this before

What are the codes? I thought you could turn off park assist through your DIC, that way you won't have to see service park assist but otherwise that will always be up as long as parking sensors are not there. Post your codes for service brake assist message.
