Odd question

I'm new to this forum. I have a odd issue. I have an 2004.5 when I'm coming down a good grade or coming down a mountain road and then when I get back into it I have no power and I get some rattles in the motor. Some times it won't shift down. Sometimes it goes away when it does shift other time I stop and then when I start again it's fine. I have no idea. Any help or ideas would be a great help.

Sounds like it may be going into limp mode or something like that. Do you have a code reader that you could check the codes when it happens again?

I have edge on it. It has 130k. It was going in limp mode when I get on it to pass someone. I ran it in limp mode for about 2 miles and it threw a code. It was reading glow plug mod. I changed it out and it hasn't went into limp mode like before but now I have this problem

Take the Edge completely off and see if your issue goes away...

X2 on taking the Edge out! My LLY awhile back I had came with 1 and I ripped it out cause I was having a similar issue!

Thank you all. I have taken my edge out and I will see if that is the fix. How or why does the edge make it do this? I very rarely run it in level 4 or 5. Most all the time in 2 or 3. Thanks again.

Edge had an issue with the circuitry in their modules. Components would fail and cause the engine to cut out like you describe.

Also, moved this into Tuning/Logging.
