Odd problem. Need advice what to look for

That is my thinking as well. I must have a draw somewhere. I will test it this week sometime. A buddy has a Alan smart scope its an old type of diagnostic machine. hes gonna give me if i want it. I don't know what it is off the top of my head. (he explained it) he says it will test batteries and alternators plus stuff on older obd vehicles.

Sounds like it has the old style resistance load type tester. Which personally, I think is best in testing a battery.

These trucks eat batteries, I've just accepted it. Seems it starts with the passengers side and then it shorts and takes out the drivers side...

Yup. Mine are almost there again. This time I'll be doing two commercial agm batteries on the frame. Group 31 I think.
