The fiance drove my truck today which hasn't been started in about a 2 weeks. I had to give it a jump. Batteries are about three yrs old. She had it on heat and stock tune. She said the truck wouldn't go over 20mph unless she put it to the floor. In the other tunes it ran better. Headlights went out no dome light and blowing cool air no heat like the actuators were not switching plus a cel. She got to a stop light shut the truck off restarded. Cel went out head lights came back on and heat worked.

She explained it like a loss of engine power also. She also said when she pulled out of my drive and she had it to the floor and it wouldnt go anywhere. I have cleaned maf awhile back ran fine after. I replaced actuator for the blend door and mode selector. And then all of a sudden it starts acting up like this. The code went away. And I don't have anything near me to check the saved codes. Any ideas? Grounds? Batteries?
I'm going to test drive it now.

Low voltage. Have it happen a lot a work with the motorhomes with the Ally 1000 when they sit for a while and batteries get low. Have to let them charge up for a while then restart & there all good.

Won't go into tow haul for some reason. And milage indicator doesn't work. I replaced the nsbu last yr. The tow haul quit working when I took the cluster out to replace a bad stepper. Of course I drive it and it runs fine.

These batteries are 3 yrs old. It makes sense what you said but could these batteries be bad already? I need to check for a draw first. There has to be a draw with all the stuff I have been doing here lately.

I've seen batteries go bad after three years (not common) they usually do this in vehicles that sit for extended periods. How is the alternator status?
I would clean all the grounds also just to be safe.

I've seen it before ....batteries get weak and will make the truck do weird stuff. Before you get all crazy try swapping out for a good battery and see what it does

Best ones Napa had aside for odyssey/optima. Napa brand. The truck starts fast and fine about 8 hours after or next day but a week or so it cranks real slow and quits.

My LLY ate batteries, never had a set last longer than 2 years and it was on the road constantly. Mine did something similar to yours, not as bad, but when I got off work 16 hours later I smoked one battery literally and the other one shorted out, that set was a year old.

These trucks eat batteries, I've just accepted it. Seems it starts with the passengers side and then it shorts and takes out the drivers side...

mine will sit for weeks at a time and crank up real slow and thats on the single battery i run. How did you jump the truck? i would check for draw and have the batteries tested before you go throwing money at the problem

I've had 4 sets of batteries in my LMM and only paid for one set... Bought batteries with 3 year free replacement warranty..
Ran 3 sets in my 3500hd before I sold it

Usually die about 18-20 month mark.

I also swapped out the alternator for 145A version.. Definitely help with truck want to have gride heater and glowplugs on at the same time in the winter...

Saw somewhere LML have a 200A + alternator?

As for major gounds
The negative cables bolt to front of block right above oil pan 14/15mm bolts

That is my thinking as well. I must have a draw somewhere. I will test it this week sometime. A buddy has a Alan smart scope its an old type of diagnostic machine. hes gonna give me if i want it. I don't know what it is off the top of my head. (he explained it) he says it will test batteries and alternators plus stuff on older obd vehicles.

Thanks I will check those grounds. I haven't gotten around to installing my shackles or torsion bars yet. Which is when I was going to clean ALL my grounds. I'm going to recondition my frame while I'm doing that.

Also this doesn't explain why my tow haul wont kick on. That happened after I was messing with the cluster. Any ideas on that?

Found a couple pictures of that smart scope lol. Wow that thing is ancient and pretty much obsolete.

The wires going from the shifter into the colum are thin and chafe. I'd start there...
