This is more than likely your problem, this is the injector end under that sticks through the valve cover. This is is nasty and is why it was not re installed with injector install.

My bad. so I talked to a guy at a performance shop. he said if i pull the line and its clean all around then its leaking. he said the fuel shooting out at 24k or whatever is it will basically sand blast all the corrosion off the end of the line. and If there is corrosion then the line is sealed tight because nothing is spraying against it at high pressure? does that make more sense? Im thinking he means around the edge. not where it actually seals up.

Still doesn't really make a whole lot of sense. But I guess I kinda understand what he is saying by if it's leaking then it might be clean. However the couple I've had leak were not clean from leaking.

Just order you a injector line from a vendor here, merchant auto, or the dealer. More than likely this is your problem.

If you have a media blaster you can actually remove the line, clean the corrosion, clean the line out VERY good and re install it. However it's better to just replace the line.

Back driver side is #8 cyl. You'll need that to order a line. Plus side of ordering a line is you can trust it a lot more than a cleaned line. Or at least I do.

Yeah thats true. Have you ever used that dye you can put in fuel and use a black light to see it? Theres wet spots everywhere so its hard to tell where its actually coming from. plus with all the stuff in the way around that injector line i cant really see. do you know what size tool i need to unhook the fuel lines?

Fuel was all over the place in my truck. It was actually hard to find out where it was coming from. Ended up being #8.

To remove the fuel lines you'll need an 8mm and a 17mm or 19mm for the line. Can't remember exactly which one.

To get to the lines is a different story, more than likely need a 11, 12, 13 and 14mm in shallow and deep variations. Might be a 10mm in there somewhere. Been a couple days since I done one.

Pull the fender liner. I got to number 8 that way. Provided it is 8 of course, purely guessing on that one.

So i took brake clean and sprayed off the valve cover and anywhere was wet. waited for it to dry. Turned my edge back up and went for a drive. Got on it hard a couple times to make sure it would leak. pulled back in at home and wala fuel coming out of #8. Took the line of and was corroded bad. Ran done to a local shop and got a new line. Hopefully tomorrow ill get her put back together and my leak will be gone! Thanks again for all the advice and help. Im glad i joined this forum. way more helpful then i ever expected. :thumb:
