Truck in an 06 LBZ. Tunes by Kory, built trans, 366 some gauges and an exhaust.

Recently I've been having issues with my reverse lights working. Deemed I have a loose wire somewhere on the block at the rear underside of the truck. I wiggled the 4 plugs and now the reverse bulbs work.

Now the weird part.

Got up at 6 this morning and unplugged her. Started up and all was normal. Left 15 min later and get to the end of the block and flip the turn signal on to go right and I've got both blinkers going. Tried it going left and same thing. Got home tonight and looked and I do have a rear park light out but wouldn't think that would affect turn signals. Anyways when right blinker is flashing the left is faint on the dash but looks like 4 ways in the front and rear. Same thing when I have left blinker on.

I have no clue where to start or why this would happen out of the blue over night.

I'll take any help ya can lend. I don't have a test light or a voltmeter so just a heads up. But thank you in advance.

I assume you replaced the bulb. It is possible, but very rare, for the filament to short to the other circuit in the bulb.

I had a similar issue with my blinkers, but only my blinkers. It was a bad flasher module.

Off chance, do you have a 4 prong pigtail trailer plug hanging? Or have you checked to see if your trailer plug is full of water/Ice?

I'll have to look in the morning but I honestly don't remember if it's got the 4 prong as well.

But by chance do you remember how you got to determine the flasher module

I replaced the blinker switch module in the column and it did not fix my issue. I was also having the issue with one blinker turning both on and if I would go from one side to the other and it would go way. Ended up pulling the blinker module out and just cleaning it. The relays were dirty.

You might also want to check the connection box under the bed to see if the connectors are seated tight. It's amazing where water and snow will end up under a truck.

I'm bout 99% it's the block under the bed. Might have to see what kind of jerry rigged contraption I can come up with this weekend

:woott: alright! it all works...for now. Put a 3rd bulb in as the 2nd new one didn't make it a day. At the suggestion of Jlawles2 I ended up pulling the dash apart and pulled the blinker module...omfg huge pain in the ass to get my hand in there...and used a small brush to clean the prongs and used air in a can and blew the board half out. That fixed the special ed blinker issue. Now I got no brakes in the tail lights...wtf. Again at the suggestion of you guys I checked grounds and all were good. ended up unplugging the 4 connectors at the terminal block at the rear of the truck and sprayed em out with electrical contact cleaner. put some new di electric grease on there and put em back on...I determined they don't stay on tight enough and that is causing my issues and possibly the blinker module going out but who knows. Anyways as of now all the lights work and nothing is being stupid anymore....

THANKS for all the help guys. Electrical is not my fave or something I am very good at figuring out.

It's back but I found the culprit the 4 plugs at the rear of the truck. They are not staying seated tight into the grey electrical block. God electricity is crappy

Had an electrician tell me years ago while he was working in a live 3 phase panel, electricity is your friend, do you have it fixed yet....:thumb:
