It was just odd that someone called looking for an LLY valve body yesterday and it had pretty much the same back story on the truck. Figured it may have been you and when you couldn't find a good used one you went through GM. I would have gone through an Allison dealer directly - it would have likely saved you a decent amount of money.

Well the valve body fixed the remaining issue after getting the codes down to just the p0875. Attaching a couple of pics of the A trim gain valve, both a and b gain valves had this grinding work done to them.

Who did that?

yeah, it completely explains why the trans wouldn't move even in limp mode (harness unplugged).

I'm just glad it's done. I only agreed to look at the truck because he took it to two different shops and the first one did that awesome job on the valve body, and the second one said it was an electrical issue and they couldn't figure it out, he didn't know where to go so I offered to check it out and see if I could find the problem. I don't work on the small stuff like this for a living and wasn't familiar with the power flow or much of anything on the allison initially, but have learned quite a bit thanks to these compounded amount of issues..

What the actual phuck?!? The hell is that supposed to do, make your own shift kit?

I have no clue what the guy was thinking that did that, but after I talked with the owner about confronting the shop that did the work, he said that the guy that did the work had recently stole $10-15K worth of tools from the shop and went out of state, has multiple warrants on him now, etc..First class work from first class people.

Are they the same as getting transgo valves into valve body when those are installed?

First one I did had me stumped because I couldn't get it all the way in. Ended up using the drill bit supplied in the kit and sticking it Into the hole on the back and using it to "guide" the valve in.

Any news on this?

On which part? I did finally get the truck going..only took a new internal wiring harness, proper internal filter, new PSM and new valve body. Though the valve body wasn't a problem until the first shop that worked on the truck did a custom grind job on the trim gain valves..
