hmmm... this might line right up with a family vacation. Don't think I can talk the wife into a 12 hour ride with the stacks, and that is alot of extra fuel to haul the truck that far.

Thanks, Hopefully the pulls will be on Friday. I should be able to make it for Friday and leave that night. Sons baseball on Sat and his first communion on Sun.
I don't want to speak for Jess but a lot of the time it is a test n tune on friday and saturday are the races and pulls. That is at least how it was the last 2 yrs I've been there.
Oh trust me it is. I'm glad this event is in my backyard. Don't think I would want to live closer to any other event
Yes we will be at TS, OBX and Indy. Rob just pulled the engine today and getting ready to install our other one after we had our little mishap Sunday before last. Nathan completed the new turbo setup on Saturday, so with any luck we could be ready for a little T&T this weekend. No more Bazooka intake after what happened, new intake right out through the passenger side head light.

Weld on the intake to the big trubo broke and intake hit the ground at about the 300 ft mark after a hard launch a week ago sunday during T&T in Boise. The hard rubber reducer that fits around the intake pipe in the mouth of the big turbo came off and and went into the big turbo which in turn got the smaller one. Push rubber and impeller pieces through the innercooler and through the engine. Big turbo trashed, small one impeller shot but fixable. Not sure exactly the extent of the damage to the engine, but compression not right in several of the cylinders. We have a spare engine and Nathan has already fabbed up another big turbo we had on the shelf. New engine should be in this week and hopefully we can get a little T&T before we leave for TS on May 3rd. Here are acoupe pics of the turbos.

i use to build helicopter engines for the Marine Corps. was crazy seeing what just one little thing could do to all the blades inside. any where from sand, a towel being left inside, to much water going in at once ect..
Rob got the engine out and heads off last night. Everything except #6 looked good, #6 had a slight mar on the cylinder wall and a little tiny piece of aluminum on top of the piston. We'll have the heads gone though and tear down the engine further. Decided to put in our spare fat shaft duraflite and TC while we are at it. Basically we are going east with a completly new engine, turbos and drive train. Hope to hell it performs as well as the old one.
Did anyone make a reservation at the Holiday Inn as usual? Any idea if there is that discount for us guys?
