With all the area dragstrips shut down, it's going to rough to get a lot of testing done.

Why are they closing anyway? I'd figure out on the West coast they could support themselves as you can race almost all year. Thats if its a money reasoning issue.
Thank the whiny citizens, sierra club, Martians an liberal tit clingers for closing down tracks. Excuses range from noise complaints to pollution to "we just dont like it".
You'd think it would be in peoples best interests to keep tracks open, keep the racing off the street.... not so with the aforementioned personnel's short sightedness.

For LACR and Carlsbad, they didn't own the land, and the owners wanted the land back.
For California Speedway, some dhead whined about the noise (it's in an industrial area next to busy train tracks), who had a great lawyer. Found some obsure law that indicated a piece of paper wasn't filed properly.
Nearest track is over 150 miles away. Second closest is in Las Vegas.
We used to spend a lot of time at the drags, but it's now something that becomes a 2 day affair instead of just Wednesday night, or Saturday.
Well that sucks! Not much you can say,well I could say a lot but it won't matter. Bottom line you and all racing enthusiast got ripped!
