I borrowed a scanner from a buddy to check out some codes on my VW, and I figured I might as well look at the truck also. But the scanner won't even turn on when hooked up to my truck(works fine on the VW) It is a cheap scanner. I checked the wiring behind the plug and ran through some of the fuses and they were all ok. I don't know what fuse exactly it runs off of (if any at all). Any suggestions? Don't have another scanner to hook up to see if it is a problem with the tool itself.
