Question: nothing works

Well it seems that my driver door buttons are not working but the passageners door works fine . This happened after I jumpstarted the truck one day .Also when I start the truck none of the gauges work ? Related I don"t think so ..Any help ddm maybe ?

of course , there all good under hood and drivers side ..Also got power to door..I think it's the ddm or needs to be reflashed ddm or bcm...

So I took my truck to the dealer today to get the door module programed and , the dealer said they couldn't program it because the ddm was not communacating to the bcm . The tech look at some wiring and said that alot of corrosion on the wires and some one wired lights and strobes and that the plug from the fuse panel to the drivers door was missing ? Everything worked when I brought the truck in june this just started to happen recently ..Should I look for a door harness or what ther's a new ddm the door has power to some of the the wires. He also said when he test drove it water fell on him from the overhead capartment it rainned that night i never had it happenn to me before but I did install recon's smoked L.E.D.s but there thight and gasket is good .

I worked on a truck once that had recon cab lights leaking into the overhead console.

I just worked on an 01 that i test drove after fixing the cp3 and when i turned the corner and hit the gas i got soaked with water from the overhead console had those after market smoked lites even had been silconced around but its not working thats for sure

That;s where I had some water overhead console when I got it back I only just put them on never rained un til I dropped it off .So I take it would be the lights but I need to fix this drivers door switch and or harness any help would be great....

I have something similar happening. My power locks don't work in the truck and only my unlock on my key fob works. All fuses and relays are good. I have to check to see if I have power to the door switch.

Don't mean to hijack.

It's all good the tech said ddm wasn't comunicating with the bcm ? He aslo said I was missing a plug on fuse block for door ? Where is the bcm located on this trucks ? It's driving me crazy and snow ploing season is coming up fast ....

Bcm is located right underneath the steering column. Remove the knee bolster, and u will see it.

So I took a shot at trouble shooting my windows and locks not working on drivers door or the mirror or heated seats , and i have power on the orange wire going to the switch on the door ,I lifted up the rocker panel and found some grounds the I cleaned up and nothing I'm losing faith checked all connections and pulled the door wiring harness to check for cracked or broken wires and nothing ...It's starting to tick me off .Any one got any ideas cause I'm all out .Can I rent a scanner to read body codes ?and where..It seems this all started when I jump started my ford

So I changed the fuel filter primed it and nothing does not start It has some fuel and igot fuel coming out the bleeder hole Idont know where to go now .It was running before all this and also the alarm horn is not working when locking or unlocking...

May not work, but try disconnecting both batteries for a few minutes.

Do you have an aftermarket alarm system? I've seen some aftermarket systems that let the truck turn over but not run and could explain some of your other problems.

Got the truck started and another mechnic hook up he's computer and he said the same thing ddm not communicating with bcm just to make sure he stealership wasn't pulling a fast one ...Didn't have the money to let him trouble shoot it right before the holidays .Any one have wiring diagrams for the data link or communications wires...

So haven'tgot really around to fixing the door and now the alarm doesn't lock or unlock any doors with the key pad the automatic start doesn't work either. I'm starting to think it's the alarm:roflmao: ,:roflmao: it's an autovox from the sticker on the back. Or is the bcm

Well haven;t had time to really look at the door problem but have some now .The alarm stopped working now with the auto start but the factory alarm works ..Bcm maybe
