My daughter came came home with a check engine light and also "abs" light, (2000 Isuzu Rodeo). I didn't think I would be able to read the codes, but i was actually able to with just the v2 flashscan hooked up by itself. It gave me a P0401 (egr insufficient flow). Apparantly I was able to clear the code as the check engine and abs light went out

I dont even know if this vehicle has an egr

Since they support some Isuzu's that one they may support and don't know it.

Yes but now many don't have EGR. In 2001 the LS1 no longer required an EGR in the Camaro because of truck cam that they installed in it. I don't know that the LS1 Corvette ever had one. I don't know about other manufacturers though.

I did not know that. I thought it was required by law, guess its just to meet emissions. Everything newer that I've played with had it but now that you mention I don't remember seeing on my friends f body.

Larry, is this the vehicle your daughter has? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isuzu_Rodeo

If that is it, then we don't support tuning. You will find on a large range of GM vehicles that are not supported for tuning that reading/clearing codes may work and you may find some generic and enhanced PIDs will be supported in the Scan Tool. Connect the vehicle as a 99+ LS1.

Cheers

Lol, I just tried to read a code in a 2000 BMW, dont work :D

There is a reason for that!

I should have added that Isuzu is part of the GM family, in many cases it's just a rebadged Chev or GMC which explains why some are supported by EFILive.

Most of the European GM vehicles will never be supported because there ECM's are a whole new kettle of fish (is that an American saying too?)
