Oh nope sure haven't :/ I mean the trans was built then blown up and then I replaced broken parts and left it exactly how it was when originally built just figuring I'm using pinion bearings from one trans and ring and sun gears from a different trans so I would guess the miss matching wear patterns may be it but honestly I don't know.

Everyone says use dex3 on the 5spd yet gm says you can use dex6 to replace the dex3 what do you think about that ? Should dex3 be used with suncoast clutches ?

^^^^^
Just remember that Dex 3 will need to be changed more often under severe usage as the addative package will burn away quicker. You may not be able to see this as the fluid will remain red and smell good, but it may not be doing its job.

And heres a quote from Mike L

"I like Dex 3. I do not like Dex 6 as it was never tested in a cold room and destroyed quite a few Alli's in Canada a few years ago. Next they found Dex 6 was not compatible with the Allison Viton front seal and Allison had to change the compound. Dex 6 was attacking the front seal and causing leaks. What other surprises are we going to see with Dex 6?
I do not blame Allison for not approving Dex 6 and I wouldn't flush my toilet with it."

What do you consider severe application or usage? I daily drive mine but it's pretty fun to get on it. We talking under 10k or over 10k miles. Just curious what kind of service intervals would be good for the fluid to be swapped.
