Glad you figured it out.

I changed mine on Sunday...got to try out my new $5 strap wrench, it made the filter change ALOT easier :D

Whered you get it? I finally just said F*** it after trying all the oil filter wrenches at autozone. Mine was on tight. I just went over to a service center and got it installed. Only paid 15 bucks to get it put in.

I got it at Advanced. It has a nylon strap to go around the filter, then you tighten the strap using a 1/2" ratchet. It sure beats fooling around with the metal band-type wrench...those are a rip to get to clear the block.

just a thought... had you never changed your fuel filter untill just now? How long have you had the truck. You should change them every 10,000 at the most
