if you want smoke you will want to add pulse width at low boost.

In laymens terms your basically dumping fuel just off idle before the turbo has time to spool.

as for wht tables to use I do not know the exact numbers but it will be the pulse width tables Havent worked with an LMM yet.

Main injection pulse width and for a lot of smoke add fuel to the right side of the table.

I havent seen any LMM files but I am assuming it is somewhat similar.

ALL my tunes smoke,( except for the really mild ones) the one that smokes the most for me is the one i put in the lmm tunes library.

on a side note, after i get my blocker plate installed on friday, soon after that ill post up my NEW tune ive been working on.... it feels really promising:D

I don't think he was turning the key to the "ON" position when flashing tunes, that's why he was most likely having a code problem and no smoke at all

Any new ideas on this?

Here are my ideas:
{B0794} Main Injection Rich Mixture Limit - pretty self explanatory why it would matter
{B0795} Main Injection Mixture Limit - again self explanatory and lambda lower than 1 is considered rich so lowering this limit should allow a richer fuel mixture and more smoke

I'm testing these both out right now and will let you guys know.

Well verdict is in and these 2 tables did the trick. I set the first one to .5 and the second to .75
After that you can make a smoke tune for an LMM the same way you would for the other VVT trucks. And fooling the MAF isn't even neccesary. Just add fuel and take away some boost and vane position and it'll smoke like a real diesel.

All i had to do was increase pulse width and adjust timing a little
It poured the coal!:D

othergirl where you haveing issues making it smoke? before those table adjustments?

Yeah I had a guy that just wanted to roal the coal after buying EFI Live from me and I was sending him tunes to try to get it to roll some smoke. I started with the fuel and timing (like you would do on an LBZ or LLY) and he said it would puff then just had alot of power. Next I opened the vane position and demanded less boost - still the same. Tried the MAF calibration trick that duramaxtuner suggested and it still didn't smoke like he wanted. I kept taking out boost and vane position and adding fuel and the guy kept saying it would only puff for a sec then have power. I adjusting these 2 tables and the guy said it rolls coal like crazy now.

X2, no smoke for me.

Tommy's truck would smoke a lot with the 40 and the cheetah. Don't think he had those tables changed, since those tables are newer.

Never had to adjust MAF tables to make smoke

I need to log it and see if fuel is actually being limited:confused:

increase in PW should make it smoke no matter what the turbo timing and all other tables are. if it just adds more power then your not adding enough its that simple:confused: unless a table limits it or you cant supply it
at low RPM and pressure there should be no reason to not supply it

Im really wondering if some of the tables dont work as others have posted? Yet why would one truck smoke and another not?:confused:

I never touched the table that DA adjusted and the tune is very similar to yours Jason.........I did go a lil overboard on the PW but cut it back after seeing all the smoke now it just puffs a little right before the the turbo lights
