What does the boost gauge go up to when you step on it? Why do you think you arent making boost?

So what is the problem? You want boost at idle?

Did you check for boost leak? Intercooler pipes, v band clamps all nice and tight, especially near turbo mouth piece. Mine has come loose there a couple times now. Clean your air filter and MAF sensor. And you said you changed vane position sensor?

checked every pipe and clamp, and yes changed turbo postion sensor.
do u think turbo is going bad?
but if it is,why does it drive normal and spools up fine after i drive it for 50ft or so.
it seems like the turbo is dead for a few secs then its back to normal the rest of the day.

If you are going through the expense and time to swap turbos there's much better vgts. The 3794stg2 or the 68stg2r from mark at Danville are phenomenal turbos. They will outperform that powermax all day long.

Or even this turbo if your on a tighter budget. This is the same turbo I run with the high flow vanes option. After you get your core back it's $1700 vs the $2500 other options.
