Only like half an inch difference I think, not enough to throw my tires out of whack. and yea the 285 50's are 2756lbs max IIRC

Really? I sketch about the load rating on mine so I run them at max cold. 50psi if I remember correctly.

Well you figure 50 psi is max and that makes the max load carrying. The tires will hold a little over 12000 lbs with max pressure. Unloaded we are no where near that so back them down. No need to ride rough and get bad center wear for no reason.
I also wanted to note that they are not the best wearing tires for towing heavier trailers. I was at 17K pounds with my trailer when I made the move to Alaska (3300 miles) They wore the centers pretty bad on the rears. They do that cause they are not an LT rated tire and don't have the square shoulder. The tread rounds into the shoulder instead so it makes the tread flex more under heavy load.
