Well my turbo will be in next weekend and im already thinking of what i want to do next. NOS came to mind first. Everybody knows it is the easiest power adder out there. I know there is a few guys with nitrous experience and i would like to hear from them. Im not too sure how much i need/want to spray, i was thinking just a 100 shot? And im really not too sure how stock motors like giggle gas, but i was thinking that as long as i spray when im above 2500ish rpms i should be outta bent rod territory?? What kits do yall suggest i look at? thanks

dude that turbo will easily turn your rods to linguine... you dont need spray. that turbo should be able to do at least upper 700's with enough fuel.

i know it has enough to make my block look like swiss cheese i was just thinking that nos would be safer than a larger tune because i can choose when the extra power hits and keep it out of the low end.

if its not doing anything for you then you might wanna try holding it in longer. :roflmao:

im gonna wait for chris to message me back with his wisdom. if its not nos it might be nozzles or y bridge and 3'' tubes all the way around.

That's not the point of a purge.

I wouldn't worry about nitrous with that turbo. You should have plenty of air with it. I can't see the nitous doing much for you, but I could be wrong.

You wont have enough fuel to need the nitrous.

Nitrous, in a diesel application, is like a turbo in a bottle. You will already have WAY more air than fuel running that S472.

Without fueling upgrades, I'm sorry but the nitrous will not help you if there is no more fuel to even burn.

Yeah, id save for a twin CP3 kit and motor build. After that turbo is on there the motor, rods specifically, are going to need upgrades.

Additionally, I have seen rods (LLY rods) bend with this turbo (S472) and no fueling upgrades other than lift pump.

Keep the tuning conservative.

i was looking into some minor motor upgrades, rods pistons. just basic stuff. but thats not gonna be able to happen for a long time. im gonna keep the tuning fairly tame and learn to control my right foot

i plan on it. im gonna have a max effort tune to run at the track with. which might be a few pass' a month. other than that i'll just be running a conservitive DD tune.

The LLY that I am speaking of, put the turbo on, loaded the race tune, put the pedal to the floor one time and bent all 8.
