Speaking of fast trips, my wife went into labour on Friday when I was out at work which is nearly 3 hrs away so I had to flog it from Dysart to mackay, did it in about 2 hrs driving like a lunatic and getting abused by people on the two way but I made it in time, just. Definitely wouldn't of made it with the old 3 litre. I won't be surprised if I get a little visit from the old policeman In the next couple of days.

Took a little vid today, not quite full throttle till about 60 km/hr trying too control wheel spin. Also my speedo is out by 10 km/hr so 90 on the speedo is a true 100 km/hr

Enjoy.

lol thats funny.. i have always been partial to yr color or burgundy.!!
hopefully in the next couple of weeks there will be a shipping container on the water with my motor and trans and quite a few tires on board. heath has it penciled in for early sept at this stage.
i also have a diesel alfa romeo 159.. 150kw out of a 2.4 standard with 6 sp auto.. and to think the patrol will drive over the top of it in a straight line.. all i can say is i will be beside my self once i have picked it up!!!!!:D:D

Cool, so I take it you got an lly, low mileage, good price? Using a 6sp trans? Good idea with the tyres too.

Ouch, cracked block, nasty! Good choice on the converter, I will be getting the same with my trans kit soon.

Changed the tranny spin on today and there was a fair bit of slimy black clutch material on the magnet inside the filter. Think I might have to stop using those top tunes till I get the trans done me thinks.

Nah screw it, it's just too much fun, ha ha :D

Do you have any heating problem ?
I'm litle afraid about the cooling for my duramax on my jeep
I will be using a 24*19'' double pass radiator.

Nope, it usually sits around 83-84 degrees celsius in cool weather and about 87-88 degrees in warmer weather and the most i've seen is about 94 degrees while doing 160 km/h towing a camper trailer. And that's using the standard patrol radiator which is meant for a 4 cylinder diesel.
