I'm unable to choose an exhaust for my truck because Thers so many different ones between diameter of the pipe and whether or not I should go cat back or turbo back !? Suggestions please !?

Downpipe back, this is what most people say they turbo back systems are, but a downpipe isn't included. Personally I like the Magnaflow 5 inch kit 18982, but Flopro is a good kit as well. 4 inch vs 5 inch is more a personal preference thing, there is a little bit of diffrence in the tone, but thats it.

I have a Diamond Eye Quiet Tone 4" and I really like it. A lot of the bigger exhausts tend to drone, and after a couple hours driving, it no longer sounds "nice", it drives you nuts!

You might want to spend some time on YouTube listening to the different exhausts, because at the end of the day, it is personal preference based on sound. Deleting the catalytic converter can pick you up 1-2 MPG, but don't expect any fuel mileage gains other than that over the stock exhaust. All the aftermarket units flow so well they are going to get the same mileage.

Going through the same problem also. Have done plenty of research via YOUTUBE and other sources. But really the best feedback I have gotten was from other LB7 owners and the set ups that they have.

Have concluded that I will be going for a 4 inch downpipe back(MBRP or Flo-Pro). Unfortunately a lot of the after market kits for LB7 didn't manufacture a Full TURBO BACK system that encompasses a new downpipe. So either you have to buy a separate one or just go with a Downpipe back kit.

I like my Mbrp 4". I did a few tac welds at each joint to make sure the clamps wouldn't slide. It's solid. If I ever need to take it off, a few seconds on each tac with a cutoff wheel and I'm good to go.

I've had mbrp, fitment is crap. Flopro is much better, it's perfect every time. Only real question is 4" or 5"? :hug:

Ive had my Silverline for 11 years. No problems. Make sure whichever make exhaust you buy that if it comes with the regular U-bolt pinch clamps, change them out for band clamps. Better sealing, easier to remove if ever you have to.

Also, there are different sections of the forum for a reason. Try to post your questions in the appropriate area for what you're asking, not clutter up in the Intro section.

I wouldn't get a new down pipe they ain't worth it unless you have a VVT and don't like the screeching sound of the stock DP. Make sure you look at the exits of the exhaust too. It might not matter to you, but the angle the tip came off the body was one of the big things for me.

I went with afe figuring it was a good solid kit considering its price clamps are junk personally would go with flo pro seeing the fit doing another truck an clamps were a lot better.
