FYI - I sent Max Wilson a candid yet professional email asking for a response. His response is below. There were also two pieces of supporting documentation. There are three sides to every story...
Tom:
Speedworlds problems are with the State, note attached items. The only person that can close him down is his landlord who is State Land. They are the ones who have started the revocation of his lease because of nonpayment and not having insurance. No where is he being shut down because of his lack of permits. Speedworld has sued the State & County because they don’t feel they need to follow the same Health & Safety rules like the other 10,000 other people doing business in the county. He lost at the Hearing Officer level but maybe he will be right at the Superior Court.
I can’t speak for the State but we have bent over back words trying to work with him for over 3 years. We meet on December 20th to try and assist them again. If they won’t live up to the contract they signed only Speedworld can help Speedworld. Check back in after the February trail and see who was right. Maybe he is right and they are special and don’t have to follow the laws like everybody else.
Let’s talk after the trail.
