EPR twins S475/ Stock...Fass 150...studded..my question is this..do i go for more fuel next, and risk damaging the stock bottom end? Or will it be Ok? OR go into the bottom end first then add fuel/air later? How much can these lly bottoms handle if I add a twin cp3 and injectors? Saving for the next upgrade..just need a little direction from you fine fellas:thumb:

I think I read it right..let's say I'm at 550hp..stock injectors..can you add bigger injectors and shoot for the same HP level and achieve those numbers with less stress on your engine? I could be way off..

I don't believe bigger injectors do jack shit for longevity. I have been 600-700hp on stock injectors for 5 years and my engine is 100% stock. Tuning plays the largest part in the equation

How healthy is your cp3? I would start accumulating parts for a motor build with the goods that go along with it

You had a modified cp3 and still do. Also your truck is completely de torqued make 600-700 with tq and be in my boat lol

To the op bigger Injectors help make power easier and in a better window as you run less timing and pw I had 575 hp with a 1800 pw an 15* timing 45% and a bd 64mm I went to a billet 66 and got 618 fwiw. Long as you don't get greedy you'd be fine doing injectors first but rods/main studs/pistons ect would be a better investment Imo to. I did the turbos and fuel first and im on 3 years and 60k miles beating the shit out of it still runs...kinda lol

So I could "prolong" things a little by tuning down larger injectors for a target HP ? Im pretty happy with the power for now...want a full build down the road...for now it just feels like its gonna come apart at full throttle...maybe that's just the 240k starting to sink in

This x2

Idk about "prolong" but bigger injectors are supposed to be "easier to tune" and that can't hurt...keeping your peak tq #'s low is a good plan as well...

There's pros and cons to both sides really, especially on an lb7 IMHO. Sure, more fuel and bad tuning = broken, but more fuel and good tuning and you should be good if you keep your goals in check with what you're working with...while 2xxk miles is nothing to scoff at, it's far from the end days for your dmax if you know what to watch for and take care of them.

However, I wouldn't just say hey build the block first, if you can't yet afford to put a healthy set of injectors and a good cp3, modded cp3 or dual fuelers in the mix, considering the daunting task of changing injectors on an lb7 I would be sure that new, or relatively new injectors were installed with a fresh build...and I'd want the fresh build to be broken in with good injectors and a strong pump anyways

Sooooo, with the amount of miles you have I would probably double check, if it's not been recently done, compression and visually inspect all your gaskets and I guess hope for the best and get a good set of injectors, a tuner who listens to what you need and what your working with, keep up with your maintenance and furiously save for even a mild build, like de-lipped lb7 pistons and maybe a used set of rods, and freshen up the valve train, then you'll be stylin
