Sold my 99 cummins about two months ago after having it for 4 years and just picked up my first duramax lb7 ccsb last Sunday.....now putting head gaskets this week!!! :why-me:

Thanks guys.... And no I didn't know anything about it before buying. Test drove it and it ran great no smoke what so ever .Drove it home and still no smoke. Took it Monday to get inspected and it was a little white puff of smoke that smelled of coolant the little puff got worse and worse. Took it to the shop yesterday morning and was confirmed that it was head gasket.....Previous owner said that owner before him "had" replaced head gaskets before he bought it :dontknow: ,and he had never had a problem out of it, and he did offer to help fix it, but I told him it was my problem not his, and he told me he was not trying to screw me over (seems like a legit guy). so I'm not sure if he knew about it or not. But it is what it is, hind sight is 20/20
