hi i am new to the diesle community. i just got my first duramax 2003 it has a 5" turbo back exhaust. and i believe thats the only mods it has and ever had. but i was wondering what your guys suggestions would be on doing to get the most out of my truck. ive never been to the track or anything but love speed and power. but also like money in my pocket so anything to boost my mpg would be awsome.

welcome to the forum! efi live and built trans will probably be the best 2 things you could ever do for your truck. do lots of research and ask questions before you buy parts, most of us here have already been down that road and know what parts are good and what parts arent. have fun with the new truck!

theres many different ways that you can do it. but if you plan on doing a lot of work to your truck yourself, then i would recommend you get a v2 scanner. that way you can hook your laptop up to your truck and make your own tunes if you want. or you can have any tuner in the country write you a tune and he can email it to you and you can just load it into the truck. but if not you can get an autocal.

And from what I understood is I can ether get a 2 way switch or a 5 way. Correct me if am wrong. Wich one would people suggest.

Welcome to DD :thumb:

The autocal lets you load your tune and can read codes. The V2 can moniter many different things and you could do your own tuning if you get to that level.I bought the V2 and glad i did.
