What's up out there? I've always been into gassers, this is my first venture into the other side. I recently acquired an 05 lly with 128k on the clock. Picked up my 30 gallons of oil, fuel filter, and Allison Trans filter. Going to change oil and the filters tonight. My question is about Trans fluid. What kind should I get? Does it matter what's in there? Like mixing different fluids? Am I better of the waiting on the Trans filter and changing all the fluid and filter at the same time?


This is how it was the first day home.

I run Transynd, you can get it from your local Allison dealer... At least that is a place to start. There is also a Mobile product that is an "approved equal" by Allison for Transynd.

I also run Transynd in my transfer case, but I am in a cold climate, which I think you are too with the blade on the front. Others in warmer climates (SoCal) will run a full synthetic engine oil in the transfer cases.
