Just bought my first duramax. Pretty excited about it. Its a 03 with 260, i knew the owner of the truck who has it for 3 years. He recently passed away and his wife traded it in and well i got it.
Ive already had some weird electric issues with it and trans issue. Not happy bout it, trying to figure it all out before work season starts next few weeks. Hoping i can get some helpfully answers here.
Some issues ive been having with it:
Transmission free revs and throws a check engine code for a vehicle speed sensor
Right rear door ajar then said both rear doors were ajar...then went away...now back again
Odometer not working...then started working later that day. Gear display has not worked at all
Sound from radio stopped but had power...pulled radio and radio amp fuses both were good pluggef back in and sound came back
Lastly, found a big blue plug under driver side dash that had four cut wires that were just twisted together
My biggest concern is the trans messing up, if anyone can poin me in the right directions i would appreciate it.
