can you guys explain to me what the advantage to making the change is? in the side by side pic above the new and old dont look all that differant except the bellow and material used. is it more of a heat retention thing? and is there much to gain doing these and manifolds vs just one of the 2? thanks just trying to learn.

Like i said the pics dont do the justice

The stockers have dents are flat in spots.....poor flow characteristics

And dont have the bling:D Is it better Ya,Will i gain a lot.......probably not,But everything helps.

They are much larger inside and will flow quit a bit more. Simons up-pipes are 2" OD. There are spots on the stockers that are as small as 1 1/2" and even the largest area on them is not 2". We can go bigger though:D

Tell me about it, and its not even like things are tight on that side.......all the room in the world. Between that and the DS manifold, I'm starting to think the left side engineer was crazy and the right side one did a good job of fitting 10 lbs of crap in a 5 lbs box:D

next one i have apart i will pay more attention to. i guess it was never an issue until lately when they started coming out with the better designs. i suppose there is major room for improvement in every aspect of the original design.

More questions.......

Obvisouly there's a difference between these up pipes and the ones off the Kodiak's. What would it be just for my curiosity? Other than material and craftmanship?

I would ASSume they are larger than the Kodiak up pipes as well?

We can ge bigger than that:eek: Give me enough time and $ and I can build anything!:baby:
I think it might take a new pedestal if you do. The bolts were pretty tight to the pipe. I'll see if I can snap a pic with them wrapped and installed. By the way, your wrapping tips helped out big time! Thanks.
