Well enough fun,
yes it is a beautiful car, and a hoot to drive, but it really belongs to my good friend who has decided to spend some of his hard earned money. This shares the garage with his wife's 2011 S-600 and his 2011 Mercedes SUV and will reside at their new winter home on top of a mountain at Cave Creek, AZ and their summer home at Deception Pass north of Seattle on Puget Sound, (he's done very well even in this economy). He has every option except the ceramic brakes. It is a heavy car for its size but tracks on these rutted roads around here better than anything I've ever driven. It sets very low to the ground and you really have to be careful of anything in the road because anything higher than a mouse turd there is a fair chance your going to drag on it.
One of the perks when you buy one is a driving school at Laguna Seca driving one of these. Damn thing doesn't even have a spare at least that I could find, you just call them no matter where you are and they come and fix it or haul it to the nearest Mercedes dealer. Mercedes got the exhaust right, it has a good old american throaty sound and not one of those high whinning ones the Euros seem to like. I was surprised how cheap the insurance was only $1800 a year. Being in your 60's and having a good driving record helps.:thumb:
Thought I'd better fess up before someone thought I'd gone completely off my rocker. Kat had I spent the money I have on duramax race trucks on one of these I'd have it paid for and a new dmax as well and lots of fuel money too.
