Yeah... forgive me guys, didn't mean to throw any body off with the title.

Soo, I just need to swap the bell housing ? And It's a 6er' ?
That's something I can work with, considering a stage 4 kit rebuild myself if it's going to cost me an arm and leg at a shop.

Yes, all Allisons from 06' up are 6 speeds.

A good shop will build you a good reliable trans to hold power depending on our set up and/or goals and it will run you 38-4800 for a basic build, depending on who it is and what you're wanting done. Obviously the more you do the more it costs, You'll have that much in a trans if you do it yourself and mess it up.

Well fellas, I picked a complete one up at a salvage yard 1250$ with a paid core. With VB and Tq convert... Warranty and all. Affordable Automotive, Denver. I jumped on it, left work and got the thing. Going to swap them and then build MY tranny and go from there... maybe swap it again or dyno and sell it.
Thanks for all the help.

I paid 4000 for a PPE stage 5 and a 1057 converter but I already had the deep pan and filter lock, and then I paid 4400 for the suncoast stage 4 with the ML but I had to get a new harness and did a couple extra miss or it would have been 4000 as well.
