Just wanted to say hey guys. I just picked up a 2005 silverado crew cab LT. It's got 101k on it. Just wondering if there is anything specific I should watch for. It's got I think 4in mbrp exhaust. It may be 5. I'll have to check. It's also got an air aid intake. Guy says its never been tuned.

It's also got the Bose in dash nav. Would like to know a little more about that.
- can I listen to CDs while using nav?
-how do I get an updated map?
-does this unit play DVDs?
-does it have any outputs for external monitors?

The guy I bought it from put nightshade on the headlights and turn signals. I would like to get rid of that and get some black housing headlights (maybe projectors with no halo) and install hids. Any reccomendations for a good setup?

I'm sure I will figure out the answer to some of these questions when I pick up the truck on Tuesday. Just looking for some early insight.

I would post pics but I don't know how.

Well guys. I picked up my truck today and of course it has a few issues. Couple I wanted to ask you guys about.
1. It has a Bose in dash nav unit. The nav cd won't come out. Any ideas? Was it even an option for in dash nav in 05 or was this added later. It does have the Bose speakers in the doors.
2. When I hit a bump, I can feel a little knock in my steering wheel. I can jiggle the steering wheel just a little and feel the knocking. Is there something on these that is notorious for causing an issue like that?

Steering wheel rattle/knock is most.likely the intermidiate shaft. Very common on gm trucks. Or the lower bearing on the column. As for the nav unit, i cant help with that.
