UPDATE: Temps when this first happened were -15C/-32C exluding the wind. Temps when i refilled tank yesterday were around -2 C.
Ok so i removed the hose going into the holding tank siphoned it out with an air venturi unit and sucked it right dry. I filled it back up with about 8-10Liters of new fluid. Hooked it back up and went for a test run(-2C), the DIC code was gone with in 1 minute of driving but came back on again in 20minutes. It now said 426km left of range for the fluid (which is way out to lunch) Brought it to dealer this morning let them know I need it asap if possible. I mentioned to them why they use such a high (-7 freezing point fluid? It sits outside all night non heated which can easily freeze from after work till morning when im up and I laughed sarcastically but politely...The reps at dealer spoke up and said all engineers all pulled off projects working on this solution as a top priority.
My guess is when or if the fluid intitially froze partly or completely it cracked or F'd a sensor in the tank which is now why it is still buggered.Unpluggin batteries doesnt reset anything on these trucks from what i figure.
Will let you all know what comes of this.

So I picked it up, they said they drained tank again and put 66%fluid in. Drove away but dash light for fluid still on. Backed it back in as I hadnt left the lot yet they cleared code in the reductant section of GM's handheld unit again and for now it seems code is gone.

Well so far the DEF fluid hasn't effected me in anyway. Now, it doesn't get THAT cold here but.. Hopefully it'll prove to be a non-problematic thing.

I've got 2300 miles on mine and still no DEF light, maybe my truck decided not to use it. :D

Or the dealer filled it up all the way. :(
